Master of Business Analytics

The Master of Business Analytics builds knowledge across a range of business disciplines while developing advanced skills in analytics, for a data-driven environment where organisations need people who can interpret complex datasets and act on them.
You begin with foundational business knowledge applicable across career settings, exploring core concepts in economics, accounting and modern finance operations, and learning about the advanced analytical tools used in business while acquiring essential data skills.
From there the degree moves into the higher-level concepts and tools that underpin business analytics: managing big data, data visualisation, predictive analytics and text analytics. You develop expertise across predictive modelling and data visualisation while considering ethical practice, and learn to extract insights using artificial intelligence and chatbots.
Across the degree you learn to analyse, interpret and communicate data to inform decision-making, taught by academics working in business analytics.
Industry projects develop your research and analysis skills, and electives let you shape the degree to your career aspirations.
The program totals 96 units — 42 units of core courses, 30 units of discipline courses and 24 units of electives — over two years at the Adelaide City Campus, with February and July intakes.
