About This Course

Organisations need leaders who understand both business strategy and project delivery. Studying a Master of Business with a Master of Project Management builds the capability to translate strategy into practical project plans, assess feasibility and manage risk to ensure work progresses effectively. You will learn how to manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, resourcing, managing risks, engaging stakeholders, communicating progress and closing projects effectively. With knowledge of both business operations and project delivery, you will gain the ability to communicate across functions and guide teams with confidence. Studying both master's together prepares you to coordinate organisational initiatives and deliver projects that contribute to business performance across a wide range of industries. By completing this double master’s program, students will earn two master’s degrees in two years and build expertise in two in-demand areas of business. The Master of Project Management explores how effective project management improves an organisation’s ability to plan, implement and control business activities. Throughout the program you develop practical capability across the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution and closing. The course also introduces methods for managing risk, engaging stakeholders, and addressing common challenges within modern organisations. You will build confidence working with complex information, competing priorities, and changing organisational needs, ensuring projects remain aligned with broader operational requirements. The program also develops your capacity to work across teams and functions, support informed decision‑making, and maintain momentum throughout delivery. General Requirements

Domestic Students

A recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. OR A Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. OR A recognised master's degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. Other tertiary qualifications, combined with extensive professional work experience, may also be considered.

Work and life experience:

Admission to UOW is primarily based on your academic qualifications, with work or life experience generally not considered. If you do not meet the academic requirements for this course, we recommend exploring recognised pathway programs, such as those offered by UOW College or the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC).

UOW recognises a range of overseas higher education qualifications. Your qualifications will be assessed for equivalence to Australian qualifications and the admission requirements for this course. Documents issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official English translation.

All UOW courses are taught in English and require varying levels of proficiency. If English is not your first language, you must meet the University’s English Language Requirements, which differ by course.
Accepted international test results include IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge, and OET for specific health-related courses.
Alternatively, you can fulfill the requirement by completing an English course at UOW College.
