Master of Chiropractic

Chiropractic is an allied health profession that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, and the effects of these disorders on health and wellbeing. Chiropractors have a deep understanding of the relationship between body structure and function and adopt a holistic approach to healthcare. Chiropractors apply a variety of non-invasive treatment approaches, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient education, lifestyle recommendations, and self-management interventions to help people of all ages live full, active, and healthy lives.

The Master of Chiropractic will develop your clinical, professional practice, and research appraisal skills so you can confidently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders. As a graduate, you will be eligible to apply for registration as a chiropractor in Australia and New Zealand and be equipped with the knowledge and skills to work in clinical practice and other non-clinical health-related roles.

On successful completion of the Master of Chiropractic you will achieve the following graduate capabilities:

Capability 1 Scientist and Scholar: Graduates will be applied scientists and research-informed scholars with the advanced knowledge and skills required to deliver evidence-based chiropractic care.

Capability 2 Clinical Practitioner: Graduates will be effective communicators and highly skilled, competent chiropractors able to apply a person-centred approach to practice.

Capability 3 Engaged Global Citizen: Graduates will be socially and culturally inclusive chiropractors with an awareness of local and global public health issues.
