About This Course

The Master of Clinical Embryology trains clinical embryologists for careers in the IVF/assisted reproduction industry. Delivered at Clayton and Monash Medical Centre (on-campus) or online (off-campus, restricted to those already working in an approved IVF clinic). Multiple entry pathways accommodate applicants from science, biomedical science, medicine, veterinary medicine, or existing industry work experience.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Australian bachelor degree in a cognate science/biomedical science discipline plus a one-year honours research degree (second class or above); OR
Australian bachelor degree plus a Graduate Diploma of Reproductive Sciences from Monash (or equivalent) at distinction (70%+) average; OR
Australian Master's degree at 60%+ average, or a PhD, in science/biomedical science; OR
Australian bachelor degree in medicine or veterinary medicine (cognate) with WAM over 60%; OR
Australian bachelor degree at pass (50%+) average plus a minimum 1 year full-time work experience as an embryologist, andrologist, or equivalent relevant professional skills-based experience.
English language requirement (IELTS Academic or equivalent): overall 6.5, minimum band scores Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0, Speaking 6.0.
The off-campus mode is restricted to applicants already working as an Embryologist, Andrologist, or in a related role at an approved IVF clinic, due to the practical skills component.
