Master of Clinical Epidemiology

Learn to conceptualise and put in place health care research. Upon graduation, your studies will count towards your continuing professional development points as a Clinician. You will be eligible for prioritised entry to a research higher degree. You can study online allowing you to juggle your work-life balance. Both full-time and part-time study options are available.

A Graduate Certificate in Clinical Epidemiology is also available to study and can be used as a pathway into the masters program. This program will provide you with the knowledge to begin your career as an Epidemiologist. You will have the opportunity to tailor your education to best suit your career objectives. Meet Maddie, alumna of the Master of Clinical Epidemiology, who has utilised the degree to support a career transition, now working as a Consultant Statistician and Epidemiologist with HMRI. This program provides graduates with a strong research capacity, an advanced understanding of epidemiological concepts, and knowledge of the application of methods in biostatistics, and economics in a variety of health settings. The program has a strong public health focus, and aims to provide participants with the competencies to conceptualise, design and carry out epidemiological research that addresses priority health problems in both clinical and community settings. Finally it aims to integrate knowledge of the research methods from a range of health disciplines in the development of epidemiological research.
