With Bond's accelerated trimester timetable and taking a full-time study load of three subjects per semester, you can complete the Master of Communication (Professional) in 92 weeks, which meets the Australian government visa requirements for international students.
In your final semester, you will undertake a 20-week professional portfolio capstone involving either: 1) a work-integrated learning opportunity to participate in a field project, produce a report, and showcase portfolio (eligibility criteria applies), or 2) a supervised professional portfolio project. The work-integrated learning option involves completing a collaborative research project totalling up to 15,000 words.
The program covers advertising, public relations, social media, human communication theory, relational communication, organisational communication and leadership, and research methods and data visualisation. You will also gain applied skills and knowledge in leadership and management communication, branding, communication research, and the strategic use of communication technology, and will complete a research paper in a specialisation of your choice such as journalism, advertising, social media, marketing, leadership, or public relations.
