Master of Computing

The Master of Computing offers three key computing majors to specialise in: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Cyber Security.

Applicants need either a bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, OR a bachelor's degree and demonstrated knowledge and skills in programming, operating systems, and computing mathematics. Students who have completed Curtin's Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Computing or an equivalent study from other Australian universities may be eligible for credit for recognised learning (CRL) for up to one semester of study.

You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. The IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component: Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening. Other accepted English tests and qualifications may also be considered.

The 2026 domestic indicative first-year fee is $36,162, based on a full-time study load of 200 credit points. This is a domestic fee-paying (DFP) place, meaning it is not Commonwealth supported. Domestic fee-paying students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance.

For Curtin Perth, applications for Semester 2, 2026 are currently open and close on 5 July 2026. Applications for Semester 1, 2027 are also open and close on 28 January 2027. Applications for Semester 2, 2027 open on 1 March 2027 and close on 1 July 2027.
