You need a Bachelor (or higher award) in an approved discipline from a recognised higher education institution, or equivalent degree, or a Graduate Certificate of Construction Management. Approved disciplines include Engineering (Civil or Construction), Building, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and other related engineering/technology disciplines assessed to be appropriate.
The course takes 2 years full-time or equivalent part-time. It is offered at the Hawthorn campus with intakes available in Semester 1, Semester 2, and Study Block 4.
You must satisfy one of the following: an IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0, or Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with an overall score of 70% and all skills at 65% or above, or equivalent measures. The Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) can be taken at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus.
Yes. Credit transfer is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) also allows students to gain credit towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
