Yes, the Master of Construction Law is developed for both industry professionals and construction lawyers. It provides a deep understanding of the legal landscapes surrounding construction projects, making it accessible to those from non-legal backgrounds working in building, construction, engineering, and associated industries.
The course is designed with busy working professionals in mind. Subjects are delivered flexibly through a combination of intensive on-campus subjects, online learning, and seminar-style classes at the Parkville campus.
The Master of Construction Law has intake dates in March, June, July, August, and December. The course takes 1 year to complete full time or 2 years part time.
Students have access to Melbourne Law School's library, which holds one of the best law collections in Australia. Additional support includes the Legal Academic Skills Centre, offering tailored services such as one-on-one research and legal academic skills consultations, and a mentoring program matching students with experienced practitioners from leading law firms, the Bar, government, the judiciary, and the not-for-profit sector (available to full-time students only).
The indicative first year fee for 2026 is AUD $49,984. Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are not available for this course.
