Master of Construction Management

The Master of Construction Management prepares you to navigate the evolving construction industry and to oversee projects from start to finish, delivering them on time, within budget and to a high standard.
The degree spans the scientific, technical, managerial, economic and legal competencies required in the sector. Beyond technical expertise and an understanding of regulatory compliance and local building codes, you develop practical skills in communication, project management and teamwork.
Influenced by current industry developments, the program emphasises sustainability and modern construction methods, and builds transferable skills for leading projects across the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
Learning extends beyond the classroom through site visits and industry placements, and students access digital design and construction labs and collaborative teaching spaces. The degree is co-designed and taught with industry.
Adelaide University frames it against the industry's intersection with housing shortages, urbanisation and climate change, and the demand for skilled construction professionals that population growth is driving.
The program totals 96 units — 78 units of core courses and 18 units of electives — over two years at the Adelaide City Campus, with February and July intakes.
