The 'Professional' component involves an additional 20 weeks added to the Master of Construction Practice program. In the fifth and final semester, students complete a 20-week workshop program on campus designed to develop professional skills ahead of entering industry roles through a mix of classroom learning and practical experiences incorporating skills sessions, industry guest involvement, projects, and practical assessment pieces replicating workplace tasks. Students may alternatively undertake a Work Placement in Australia (210 hours) or a complete Professional Program (210 hours).
No, Bond's Master of Construction Practice (Professional) is only available to international students. Domestic students are directed to enrol in the standard Master of Construction Practice program instead.
The program is accredited by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The program also meets the educational requirements of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) for attainment of an Open Builders License.
The curriculum covers a comprehensive range of subjects including building structures and soil mechanics, construction technology, construction techniques, plant and equipment, contract administration, building measurement, finance and cost planning, project management, refurbishment and retrofitting, and risks. In later semesters, students gain deeper understanding of property development, management, appraisal, and investment, as well as building services and the full life cycle of planning, building, management, and refurbishment. Electives in dispute resolution, forensic engineering, and real estate property rights are also available.

Under the ADCO Mentor Excellence Program, eligible construction students in the Faculty of Society & Design gain the unique opportunity to be mentored by seasoned experts from ADCO. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
