No, the Master of Criminology (Professional) is only available to international students. Domestic students are directed to the Master of Criminology instead.
The program duration is four semesters and 20 weeks, totalling 92 weeks.
The Professional Portfolio is a 2,000 word scoping document, and students must either undertake a work placement in Australia for 210 hours (which includes an employer's report) and a reflective journal (up to 5,000 words), or complete a collaborative research project totalling up to 15,000 words.
Students learn from leading criminologists including Dr Terry Goldsworthy (a former Detective Inspector and Associate Professor), Dr Gaelle Brotto, and Dr Tyler Cawthray, all of whom have written widely and are regularly asked to consult and comment on contemporary issues.
