Get the ethical hacking and defence strategies you need for an in-demand career with La Trobe's Master of Cybersecurity.

Build fundamental skills in system design, implementation, testing and documentation. Develop technical expertise in pen testing, blockchain and cyber forensics. Complement your cybersecurity expertise with transferable skills in entrepreneurship, professional practice and project management.

By studying La Trobe's Master of Cybersecurity, you will:

master ethical hacking and defence techniques to evaluate the security of network configurations and how to defend network-based threats

have the flexibility to exit early with a Graduate Diploma after one year or a Graduate Certificate after six months or, depending on your previous computer science or IT qualifications, complete your Master's in only 1.5 years

General Requirements

All applicants:

Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).

240 credit point pathway (2 years)

Completion of the Postgraduate Qualifying Program (Information Technology stream)

180 credit point pathway – Cognate Entry (18 months)

Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or information systems.

Any cases requiring academic judgement will be referred to the School for assessment.

International students:

English language requirements

6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
