Course Overview
What is a Master of Cybersecurity? The Master of Cybersecurity is a response to the need for skilled cybersecurity professionals amid a rise in global cybercrime. Armed with cutting-edge expertise, you will master advanced software and network security principles, engineer human-centric solutions for digital fortresses and ethically deploy AI for public safety. This qualification will elevate your existing cybersecurity career, substantiating your positioning as a leader in the field in Industry 4.0. Throughout the course, you will enhance your ability to develop innovative solutions to cybersecurity problems. You will apply an offensive approach to cybersecurity and be able to effectively identify weaknesses within organisations' security protocols through the application of techniques including ethical hacking and penetration testing. In doing so, you will gain an understanding of the skills needed to manage teams and large-scale projects as organisations endeavour to protect their digital fortress. This course has been co-developed with industry-leading ICT practitioners and academics, and is structured to meet the Australian Computer Society's Core Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and Cybersecurity Body of Knowledge (CyBOK). More Learning outcomes and Work-Integrated Learning Develop and construct agile cybersecurity solutions to defend against cybersecurity breaches and attacks. Evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats, risks and solutions to safeguard a dependable and trustworthy digital society. Critically analyse cybersecurity operations and their impacts on businesses to advise individuals and enterprises. Assess human and technology requirements using agile approaches to protect human and digital infrastructures. Evaluate and select appropriate cybersecurity tools and methodologies to enable proactive cybersecurity solutions. Communicate cybersecurity solutions to technical and nontechnical audiences to facilitate cybersecurity best practices. Demonstrate ethical and professional leadership to uphold and protect individuals, enterprises and societies. Apply sound judgment, effective management, and collaborative skills to lead or participate in multi-cultural, diverse, global communities. Undertake 192 hours of experience by completing an internship or working on a live brief.
