Students without a bachelor degree may be eligible to enter through the Professional Pathway Entry program using significant work experience or industry-recognised qualifications.
Yes, WIL is a key component of the Master of Data Science course delivery as it offers students the opportunity to apply their learnings into industry-based practice (both real and/or in-situ) and build their professional networks. UC works hard to foster close industry connections and regularly engages with industry partners who possess both the skills and experience to provide specialised knowledge and training opportunities.
International students must demonstrate an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent).
The Master of Data Science is 2.0 years in duration and is offered at the Bruce, Canberra campus. Intake periods include Semester 1 (starting 16 February 2026) and Semester 2 (starting 10 August 2026), with the same semesters available in 2027. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
