Master of Design (Industrial Design)

The Master of Design (Industrial Design) is housed within the College of Creative Arts, Design and Humanities, specifically in the School of Art and Design, which is described as a leader in art and design education shaping diverse creative career pathways in the fine arts, design (graphic, industrial), visual effects, digital media, and illustration and animation.

Students create and learn in purpose-built studios, workshops and performance spaces, which feature industry-standard equipment, tools and software for hands-on, immersive practice.

The College provides strong industry and community partnerships that offer internships and mentorships, industry and community-based projects, masterclasses and guest lectures, and opportunities to build professional networks and skills for the workplace. The College collaborates with leading organisations including Rising Sun Pictures, Adelaide Fringe, Channel 44 and the Helpmann Academy.

The School of Art and Design builds on the foundation of the South Australian School of Art, which is one of the nation's longest-running art schools and the birthplace of the world's first Bachelor of Design degree, giving the institution a unique and distinguished legacy in design education.
