Foundation engineering subjects (Year 1, or credited for relevant prior study)
Non-engineering background students complete foundation subjects in Year 1; students with a Digital Infrastructure Engineering Systems major (plus required maths/science) receive credit and start in Year 2.
Discipline subjects (Year 2-3)
Focus on digital solutions to monitor and manage the environment, including Smart Cities, the Internet of Things, and intelligent decision-making.
Industry, design and research subjects
Includes an academically credited Internship subject (10-15 weeks), the Creating Innovative Engineering subject, and the Engineering Capstone Project culminating in the Endeavour exhibition.

The course covers digital engineering tools like Building Information Modelling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Twins, and virtual reality. You'll also learn to position infrastructure, observations, or events using digital resources like satellites, robots, or laser scanning, and integrate this data with statistics, machine learning and data simulations to visualise and communicate processes, patterns, and predictions.
