The degree covers a range of sub-disciplines within the earth and environmental sciences, and in particular, environmental science, earth science, life sciences and conservation. The degree emphasises the interconnectedness of these many sub-disciplines, which are explored through common core first year subjects.
The Master of Earth and Environmental Sciences is designed through the lens of global perspectives in science where you will use drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and coding in science data collection and analysis, as well as learning the responsible conduct of research.
The indicative full-fee paying course fee for 2026 is $60,811 (with a session fee of $15,203). However, in 2026, domestic students may be eligible for either a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) or a UOW-subsidised fee reduction of up to 75% off the listed fees.
The course is available with two intakes per year. For 2026, Autumn Session starts on 2 March 2026 and Spring Session starts on 27 July 2026. For 2027, Autumn Session starts on 1 March 2027 and Spring Session starts on 26 July 2027.
