Once you've started studying, you can specialise in 'Autonomous Systems', 'Business', 'Electronics and Photonics', 'Communications and Networks' or 'Low-Carbon Power Systems'. You can also continue without specialising.

The Master of Electrical Engineering takes 3 years full time or 6 years part time. However, if you have a relevant undergraduate major, you may be able to complete the degree in 2 years.

Yes, Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available. Domestic students who have completed a Bachelor degree at the University of Melbourne with a weighted average mark of 65% are guaranteed a CSP in the Master of Electrical Engineering.
The Master of Electrical Engineering has two intake periods per year: March and July.
