To qualify for the award of Master of Engineering Practice, students must complete 100 credit points, which includes core units and 6 specialisation units from the Civil Engineering specialisation.
The Civil Engineering specialisation covers areas such as Advanced Concrete Design, Geotechnical Design, Construction Law and Contract Management, Sustainable Transport, Infrastructure Deterioration Modelling, Integrated Water Design, and Bridge Design. Students also apply their learnings to industry-linked projects and develop skills in information analysis, problem solving, communication, and research planning and execution.
For 2026, the estimated yearly tuition fee for international students is AUD $40,860, with a total fee of AUD $47,420. For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place, the yearly fee is AUD $9,537. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of AUD $373 also applies.
Yes. Credit transfer is available in recognition of previous study and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course, with applicants assessed on a case-by-case basis. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available, allowing students to gain credit for skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience, and/or formal training.
No. International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. The part-time study option is available to domestic students only.
