Common Questions
On-campus — in Perth and Melbourne — this Master's degree is fully accredited by Engineers Australia under the Washington Accord and is internationally recognized through the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) and its signatory countries. However, the program offered at EIT's Brisbane campus is NOT accredited by Engineers Australia at this stage.
Domestic students pay AUD $12,650.00 per year, with a total course cost of AUD $25,300.00. International students pay AUD $25,850.00 per year, with a total course cost of AUD $51,700.00.
The program takes 24 months (two years) to complete full-time on-campus, with longer options available for those studying part-time. After enrolment, the maximum time allowed to complete all units is 5 years.
This course may use the following software: ETAP, PSCAD, Python, PowerWorld, SPICE software, PowerFactory, MATLAB/SIMULINK, 61850 TestSuite Pro, PSSE, Homer Pro, LabView, BXX001-004C software, and MXX001 software. Due to ongoing unit and course reviews, software may change from the list provided.
There are two entry pathways: Pathway A requires an Australian Bachelor Degree (or international equivalent) in a congruent field of engineering practice, and Pathway B requires an Australian Bachelor Degree with Honours (or international equivalent) in a congruent field of engineering practice. In both cases, applicants must also demonstrate an appropriate level of English Language Proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no individual band less than 6.0), or equivalent.
