The Master of Engineering Practice offers six specialisations: Advanced Manufacturing (skills for quality, efficiency and productivity in manufacturing environments), Civil Engineering (safe, efficient, and sustainable development of physical infrastructure), Electrical Engineering (design, develop and innovate electrical systems and technologies), Electronic and Telecommunications (expertise in power systems, digital circuits, and electronic devices), Mechanical Engineering (surface engineering, industry 4.0, computer modelling and fluid mechanics), and Structural Engineering (design, analyse, and construct various structures).
To qualify for the award of Master of Engineering Practice, students must complete 100 credit points, which includes core units such as Engineering Project Management (CSM80006) and a Research Paper (CVE80001), as well as specialisation units.
For 2026, the international student yearly fee is approximately AUD $40,860, with a total course fee listed. For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place, the yearly fee is approximately AUD $9,537 with a total of AUD $47,420. Fees are estimates only and subject to change based on individual circumstances at enrolment.
Yes. Credit transfer is available in recognition of previous study and/or experience, allowing students to gain advanced standing towards the course. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available for skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. All applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Students will develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and research planning and execution. The course provides a deeper technical education within a chosen specialisation and includes industry-based research projects to give practical experience in how the industry works.
