Master of Engineering Science

The Master of Engineering Science provides for advanced-level research in engineering disciplines, including chemical, civil, electrical, renewable energy, environmental, mechanical, mechatronic or petroleum engineering.

The Australian Government's Research Training Program (RTP) provides tuition fee offsets for domestic students enrolled in Higher Degree by Research courses, covering tuition fees for up to 2 years full-time (or equivalent). However, students will still be required to pay all other non-tuition fees, such as the Student Services and Amenities Fee.

The estimated 1st year indicative fee for international students is AUD $44,050. This is provided as a guide only and is calculated based on a typical enrolment of students undertaking the first year of the course. ECU fees are adjusted annually.

Graduates will be able to reflect critically on a body of engineering knowledge and recent developments; apply cognitive and technical skills to investigate, analyse and synthesise complex engineering problems; apply communication and collaboration skills to disseminate research findings; and use high-level self-management skills to plan and execute a substantial piece of research that contributes to theory and/or practice in engineering, while embodying principles of innovation and sustainability.
