The Master of Event Management includes 2 subjects of Work Integrated Learning, where students will work with an organisation in their industry for 600 hours and apply their knowledge to real business issues.
Yes, the course is available on-campus at the Northern Beaches Campus in Manly as well as online. However, international students on a Student Visa can only undertake 33% of their total enrolment load online and must be enrolled in at least one on-campus subject in each compulsory study period, in accordance with the Australian Government ESOS National Code.
Main intakes are in February, May, and August, with mid-term intakes available in March, June, October, and December.
Graduates may pursue careers as Festival Manager, Conference and Meetings Manager, Sports Events Manager, Event Marketing and Sponsorship Manager, Event Bidding and Procurement Executive, Event Theming and Design Executive, Event Production Manager, Event Venue Manager, Exhibition Manager, or Event Sales Manager.
The full-time 2-year course duration means international students may be eligible for a post-study work visa. Students are advised to refer to the Department of Home Affairs website at https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/ for visa regulations.
