General Requirements

Applicants must have made contact with a potential supervisor at UWA (recommended)
Applicants must provide a proposed research topic
Research can be undertaken full-time or part-time
If transferring candidature from another university, applicants must provide a detailed statement of circumstances on why they have withdrawn, are withdrawing or transferring from another institution
Applicants transferring and continuing the same project must provide a Research Proposal as per the UWA Guidelines for preparing Research Proposals, including a Research Proposal Coversheet
Applicants must provide one copy of their birth certificate, photo page from passport, humanitarian visa or evidence of permanent residency status
Applicants must provide proof of withdrawal from previous study and details of prior Research HECS Exemption Award or Research Training Scheme Funding, if applicable
Declaration of RTS Funding Arrangements for research higher degrees undertaken prior to enrolment is compulsory for all applicants
A list of any publications and the name/s of academic referees may be required
Applicants must authorise UWA to access academic transcripts from previously attended institutions
