Master of Finance

The Master of Finance offers a versatile, hands-on curriculum that hones advanced technical ability in analysing, interpreting and evaluating financial data and market landscapes.
You study advanced courses in banking, corporate treasury and financial advisory, and explore emerging trends in banking and finance with an emphasis on ethical, social, regulatory, economic, sustainability and global perspectives.
The first year covers the analytical methodologies essential to business operations, economic principles, accounting practices and core financial concepts, and builds the skills to determine the inherent value of equity. Across two years of full-time study you develop the skillset of a modern finance professional and the ability to make quick, well-founded decisions.
Students access simulated financial trading of the kind used by leading banks and investment firms in the university's Financial Lab, and build research and analysis skills throughout.
The degree was developed in consultation with industry, is taught by academics working in finance, and can be personalised with elective courses and industry projects.
The program totals 96 units — 24 units of core courses, 48 units of discipline courses and 24 units of electives — over two years, on campus at Adelaide City or online, with February and July intakes.
