The Master of Financial Analysis is a 1-year program (48 Units of Credit) offered at the Kensington campus, with intakes available in Term 1, Term 2, and Term 3.
For domestic students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $42,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $42,000. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $62,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $63,000. Fees are subject to annual review and may vary accordingly.
The degree offers more than 15 accounting electives (including Business Risk Management, Financial Accounting, Reporting for Climate Change and Sustainability, and Strategic Management Accounting) and over 20 finance electives (including Financial Markets and Institutions, Capital Budgeting and Financial Decisions, Socially Responsible Investing, and Cryptocurrency and Decentralised Finance), giving you flexibility to tailor your study to your professional development needs.
Graduates are prepared for a wide range of careers including Banking Professional, Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Treasurer, Financial Advisor, Financial Analyst, Financial Broker, Fund Manager, International Financier, and Investment Banker. Students also have access to UNSW Business School's Career Accelerator portfolio, which includes career mentoring, industry networking, and local, national, and international experience and internships.
Applicants need either: a recognised bachelor degree with 2nd class lower division honours or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline; a recognised graduate certificate or graduate diploma in a cognate discipline with a credit average or higher; a recognised bachelor degree in a cognate discipline with a minimum of 7 courses in either Finance or Accounting and a credit average; or a recognised bachelor degree in a finance-related or accounting-related discipline with a credit average or higher, two years of full-time equivalent professional postgraduate experience with at least one year in a finance or accounting role, and membership of a recognised professional association.
