Master of Geoscience

Students can select either a major in Exploration and Mining Geology or Geophysics as part of the Master of Geoscience program.

You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. The IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6, with a minimum score of 6 in each of the four components: Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening. Other accepted English tests and qualifications may also be considered.

The 2026 domestic fee-paying first-year indicative fee is $33,862, based on a full-time study load of 200 credit points. This fee is indicative only and does not include administrative, incidental fees, or textbook costs. Domestic fee-paying students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance.

You may be able to receive credit for recognised learning (CRL) from past study or professional experience, which could reduce the time it takes to finish your course. Specific details about CRL for this course can be found on the Handbook.

Applications are submitted directly to Curtin via their online applications portal. For Semester 2, 2026, applications close on 5 July 2026. For Semester 1, 2027, applications close on 28 January 2027. For Semester 2, 2027, applications open 1 March 2027 and close 1 July 2027.
