Requirements

AQF level 7 bachelor degree; or equivalent
Completion of a recognised, appropriate undergraduate degree, or equivalent prior learning including appropriate professional experience
Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 1 – Schedule II of the JCU Admissions Policy
If you meet the academic requirements for a course, but not the minimum English requirements, you will be issued a JCU degree offer conditional upon achieving the required scores in an approved English test

Can I finish the Master of Global Development in less than two years?

Yes. With credit for previous study, you can finish your degree in less than two years. You can finish 6 months sooner if you have a Bachelor or Graduate Certificate in a related discipline, or 1 year sooner if you have a Bachelor (Honours) or Graduate Diploma in a related discipline.

Is work-integrated learning required as part of this course?

Yes. This course requires work-integrated learning (WIL) activities, such as placements, fieldwork, internships or industry-partnered projects. During the course, you will be required to complete a minimum of 8 hours of WIL.

What are the annual tuition fees for the Master of Global Development?

The estimated annual tuition fee is AUD $36,899, plus a Student Services and Amenities Fee payable per subject up to a maximum amount per year. Fees are reviewed annually and subject to change. Scholarships and financial aid are available for eligible students.

Can I study the Master of Global Development online?

Yes. The course is available to study online, as well as on-campus at JCU Cairns. Part-time study is also available for online students. Off-shore students can only study online. Intakes commence in January and September.
