The Master of Global Health can be completed in one year of full-time study or two years part-time. The program is made up of eight courses total, including four core courses and four elective courses.
Yes. You can combine this degree with other master's programs to complete two degrees within 1.7 years of full-time study. Dual degree options include the Master of Global Health/Master of Health Leadership and Management, Master of Global Health/Master of Public Health, and Master of Global Health/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence. Extension and dual degree combinations with a research focus are also available and can be completed in two years of full-time study.
For 2026, the indicative first year full fee is $60,500 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $61,500 for international students. Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available for eligible domestic students, with a 2026 indicative CSP first year fee of $10,000 and a CSP fee to complete the degree of $10,000. Fees are subject to annual review and may vary.
Yes. The program is designed to be relevant to the workplace, with an internship program where you'll gain practical experience in relevant health organisations. UNSW offers a range of domestic and international internship placements in Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Additionally, the Master of Global Health (Extension) gives you the opportunity to extend your knowledge through additional research methodology courses and/or an advanced research project, and can make you eligible to apply to pursue a PhD.
