The program can be completed in 2 years of full-time study or four years part-time. It is made up of 16 courses total (96 Units of Credit), including seven core courses, five elective courses, and additional electives which include a research project or research methodology course.
There are three pathways for entry. Pathway 1 requires a three-year undergraduate degree in any field plus two years of full-time professional or volunteer experience in a relevant field. Pathway 2 requires an undergraduate degree plus honours, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field of study. Pathway 3 is an exceptional pathway for applicants with at least five years of full-time relevant professional experience in health or public health who do not hold a relevant degree.
For 2026, the indicative first year full fee for international students is $60,500, with an indicative fee to complete the degree of $126,000. For domestic students, Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) are available, with an indicative CSP first year fee of $9,500 and an indicative CSP fee to complete the degree of $19,000. The indicative first year full fee for domestic students on a full-fee basis is $39,000, with a total indicative fee to complete of $80,000. All fees are subject to annual review.
