International students can apply through a UOW registered agent, directly via UOW Apply Online (for applications prior to 18 May 2026 or Spring 2026 intake), or via the StudyLink Applicant Portal for intakes commencing from 24 August 2026 onwards. Yes, the University of Wollongong offers a range of scholarships for both domestic and international students at postgraduate level. Scholarships reward excellence in academia, leadership, community and sport, and equity scholarships are also available for students experiencing financial or educational disadvantage. UOW recognises prior learning from previous university studies, TAFE qualifications (Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Diploma, and Level IV Certificate), and other tertiary institutions. The amount of credit granted depends on the program and subjects completed, together with the program rules and structure of the UOW degree. Applicants should provide a record of achievement and subject descriptions for assessment.
UOW offers several pathway options including UOW College's University Entrance Program and Diploma programs, the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) for mature aged students, the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate, and the Indigenous Admissions Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Veterans may also apply through the Veterans Scholar Scheme, which converts ADF service into an equivalent selection rank.
