Yes, the Master of Health and Medical Law is designed for lawyers and non-lawyers alike, making it relevant for practising lawyers as well as doctors, health professionals, and health administrators who wish to develop expertise in health and medical law.
Subjects are delivered flexibly, with busy working professionals in mind. They are usually taught through five-day intensives and can be delivered online, on-campus at Parkville, or as a hybrid of both.
The indicative first year fee for 2026 is AUD $49,984. Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are not available for this course.
The Master of Health and Medical Law has multiple intakes throughout the year, available in March, June, July, August, and December.
Students have access to the Melbourne Law School library, which holds one of the best law collections in Australia, the Legal Academic Skills Centre offering one-on-one research and legal academic skills consultations, and a mentoring program that matches students with experienced practitioners from leading law firms, the Bar, government, the judiciary, and the not-for-profit sector (available to full-time students only).
