The program covers a comprehensive and practical understanding of policymaking, including systems thinking, economic evaluation, health financing and budgets, power, politics and agenda setting, and the critical use of evidence.
You will complete core units in health policy, health policy planning and health economics, including a health policy project unit. Additionally, you will complete elective units in global and public health, or from other subject areas with approval from the course coordinator.
Yes, a statement of intent is a mandatory document for admission to this program. In it, you must specify the reason(s) why you would like to apply and how the program will be beneficial to you after completing it.
The closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
