The program aims to develop core competencies in the documentation and assessment of culturally significant places (including buildings, sites and cultural landscapes), the formulation of policy for culturally significant places and their effective management, and an understanding of the legal frameworks, policy positions and professional methods that govern heritage conservation practice.
Students in the Master of Heritage Conservation are encouraged to think critically about how cultural value is determined and who should help to determine cultural value.
For Semester 1 intake, the closing date is 31 January of the commencing year. For Semester 2 intake, the closing date is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
