Yes, via Recognition of Prior Learning (Credit Transfer). Students with a 4-year honours bachelor degree (AQF Level 8) in a cognate discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering may be eligible to complete the program in 1 year. Students with a 3-year bachelor degree in a cognate discipline may complete it in 1.7 years.
For domestic students, the 2026 indicative CSP first year fee is $9,500 and the fee to complete the degree is $19,000. For full-fee paying domestic students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $45,000 and the fee to complete the degree is $92,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year fee is $63,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $130,500. Fees are subject to annual review and may vary.
Students without a cognate background can apply for the Master of Information Technology and, if eligible, will be offered entry via the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology/Master of IT pathway. This requires a 3-year Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7 equivalent) in any discipline with a minimum 65% average. Students can articulate to the Master of Information Technology after passing 18 UOC of foundational courses, and the total study duration remains the same at 2 years (96 UoC). No separate application is required for this pathway.
