The JCU Master of Information Technology offers four different majors: Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Information Technology Management, and Software Engineering. All four majors are available across all locations including Cairns, Brisbane, Singapore, and Online.
The Master of Information Technology takes 2 years to complete as a full-time student, or up to 4 years if studied part-time.
To be eligible for entry into the Master of Information Technology at JCU, applicants must hold an AQF level 7 bachelor degree or equivalent.
The estimated annual tuition fee for the Master of Information Technology is $32,168 AUD (for a full-time study load) plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee. Fee deferral options and scholarships are available for eligible students. Fees displayed are for 2026 and are subject to change in following years.
The Master of Information Technology at JCU commences in January, May, and September each year, available across all study locations including Online, Cairns, and Brisbane.
