At Year 2, students can choose from one of two specialisations: Software Development or Business Analysis. The Software Development specialisation includes subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing, Software Architecture, Distributed Computing, and User Interface Design. The Business Analysis specialisation includes Business Process Management, Enterprise Systems and Applications, Digital Business Transformation and Innovation, and Data and Decision Science.
The tuition fee for the Master of Information Technology is AUD $40,000 for 4 semesters. Additional fees include a Materials Fee of AUD $120 per semester and a non-refundable Administration Fee of AUD $250.
The Master of Information Technology is offered at three campus locations: Level 7, 628 Bourke Street Melbourne VIC 3000; Level 2, 4-10 Goulburn Street Sydney NSW 2000; and Level 1, 120 Roe Street Northbridge WA 6003 Australia.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a recognised Bachelor degree or higher in any discipline. International students and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English must provide evidence of IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no individual band less than 6.0, or equivalent English proficiency.
Students may apply for Academic Credit Transfer and/or Recognition of Prior Learning prior to their enrolment into a course of study, provided the prior qualification is less than 5 years old. Credit will not be granted if it would impair the integrity of the award or reduce a student's likelihood of success in the course. Applications based on prior academic achievement will be assessed on how comparable and equivalent the learning outcomes, volume of learning and assessment approaches are to this course.
