Yes. As well as your IT Consulting Project, as an ICMS MIT student you will have the opportunity to complete a Professional Placement (internship) in an Australian or international business within your two (2) Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects, included within the degree. Professional placements are arranged for you by the dedicated ICMS WIL team who will work with you to secure an individually tailored internship role.
Yes. ICMS also offers the Master of Information Technology with two optional specialisations: Master of Information Technology (Big Data and Analytics) and Master of Information Technology (Cyber Security).
ICMS is a proud member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) Professional Partnership Program (PPP), providing free ACS membership to information technology students. This gives access to cutting-edge industry knowledge and mentoring from experienced technology professionals, ACS Skillsoft (a digital library with more than 35,000 learning resources), over 400 networking and professional development events annually, and tailored career advice and support from the ACS team. Please note, membership with the ACS does not constitute course accreditation by ACS.
The MIT has Main Intakes in February, May, and August, with Mid-Term Intakes in March, June, October, and December. The full-time duration is 2 years (or part-time equivalent), with an accelerated option available in 1.5 years. The course is delivered on-campus at the City Campus in Sydney.
