System Requirements and Modelling

The Master of Information Technology offers two in-demand majors: Cyber Security and Data Analytics. Both majors share core foundational subjects in programming, data management, systems design, research and professional practice, with artificial intelligence embedded throughout the curriculum.
The program offers flexible, nested qualifications including a Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma. Students can also earn an industry-recognised SAS Academic Specialisation in Information Technology Analytics, providing a globally respected credential in AI and analytics. Additionally, as a corporate member of the Australian Computer Society, Melbourne Polytechnic offers Master of IT students complimentary ACS Student Supported Memberships.
The Master of Information Technology takes 2 years to complete full time or 4 years part time. Intakes are available in February and July each year, and the course is delivered at the Collingwood Campus.
Subjects are assessed in a variety of ways including practical exercises, tests, projects, written reports, case studies, research analyses, simulations, oral presentations, reflective journals, and peer evaluations.
