Common Questions
The program offers two specialisation streams: a Software Development Stream and a Cybersecurity Stream. In Semester III, students choose between ICT943 (Software Development Project), ICT942 (Cybersecurity Project), or ICT944 (Cybersecurity and Software Development Integrative Project) if they wish to study both streams. In Semester IV, Software Development Stream students choose ICT933 and ICT941, while Cybersecurity Stream students choose ICT932 and ICT940.
Yes, part-time study is available for domestic students only. The course is designed as a two-year full-time qualification or part-time equivalent for domestic students. FEE-HELP is also applicable to domestic students only.
International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate competency in English by providing proof of an IELTS overall test result of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0 (or an equivalent alternative test result). Where international students have achieved an AQF qualification or equivalent overseas qualification where the language of instruction has been English, they are deemed to have met the English language fluency requirement.
CIHE Australia uses a range of assessment tasks including quizzes, group work, case-studies and scenario-based activities, reports and exams. Assessment tasks are designed to be work-oriented, mimicking real world processes involved in business so that students will be ready to start their career as active independent professionals. All units involve 3 hours of on-campus workshop per week for 12 weeks and are supported by the Moodle online learning management system.
