About This Course

The Master of Information Technology (Applied Artificial Intelligence) builds a strong background in emerging technologies and the policies around them, and is aligned with the Australian Government's 10-year AI Action Plan to 2030.
The degree takes a practical approach. In first year you develop strong theoretical knowledge in the fundamentals and application of AI principles, before moving into specialised elective courses in second year chosen around your desired career direction.
You learn to apply course concepts to create innovative AI solutions, gain practical insight into AI and form industry connections, and explore the ethical and social implications of new technologies.
The first four courses are common across all Master of Information Technology degrees, so you can change specialisation.
The program totals 96 units — 78 units of core courses and 18 units of work integrated learning — over two years across the Adelaide City and Mawson Lakes campuses, with February and July intakes.
