Yes. With a strong emphasis on industry relevance, the ICMS MIT (Cyber Security) degree places students in real-world IT job settings as an integral part of their qualifications. Students have the opportunity to complete a Professional Placement (internship) in an Australian or international business within two Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects included within the degree. Professional placements are arranged by the dedicated ICMS WIL team, who work with students to secure an individually tailored internship role.
The MIT (Cyber Security) is offered with Main Intakes in February, May, and August, and Mid-Term Intakes in March, June, October, and December. The full-time duration is 2 years (or part-time equivalent), with an accelerated option available at 1.5 years.
ICMS is a proud member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) Professional Partnership Program (PPP), and provides free ACS membership to information technology students. This gives students access to cutting-edge industry knowledge and mentoring from experienced technology professionals, ACS Skillsoft (a digital library with more than 35,000 learning resources), over 400 networking and professional development events annually, and tailored career advice and support from the ACS team. Please note, membership with ACS does not constitute course accreditation by ACS.
Graduates of the MIT (Cyber Security) can pursue a wide range of career opportunities including Cyber Security Advice and Assessment Specialist, Cyber Security Operations Coordinator, Cyber Security Analyst, Risk Adviser, Network Security Consultant, Cyber Security Consultant, Security System Manager, Cyber Security Adviser, and Cyber Security and Vulnerability Assessor. The MIT (Cyber Security) could also open up various skilled migration pathways for international students, as systems, networks and database sectors are currently identified as 'strategic skills' by the Australian Government.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
