To complete the course, you must pass 8, 12 or 16 credit points. The number of credit points required may vary depending on your entry point or how much credit you receive as recognition of prior learning (RPL) based on your professional experience and previous qualifications.
To meet the English language proficiency requirements, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following: a bachelor degree from a recognised English-speaking country, an IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent, or other evidence of English language proficiency.
The estimated tuition fee for a full-fee paying place is $34,400 for one year full-time study. This is provided as a guide only and represents typical first-year tuition fees; the actual cost will vary depending on the units you choose, your study load, the length of your course, and any approved Recognition of Prior Learning.
The Master of Information Technology Management (Professional) is available at Waurn Ponds (Geelong) and online, with intakes in Trimester 1 (March), Trimester 2 (July), and Trimester 3 (November). Please note that due to Australian Government regulations, student visas to enter Australia cannot be issued to students who enrol in Deakin online.
Yes, there are three Professional Studies pathway options: the Team Project pathway (including SIT764 and SIT782), the Professional Practice pathway (including SIT791, which requires prior completion of STP710 Career Tools for Employability), and the Research Project pathway (including SIT764 plus either Research Techniques and Applications SIT723 or Minor Thesis SIT792). Students interested in pursuing a Higher Degree by Research are encouraged to undertake the Research Project pathway.
