To be eligible for this course, applicants must hold an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in Information Technology.
The course takes 2 years to complete as a full-time student, or up to 4 years if studying part-time.
The estimated annual tuition fee for a full-time study load is $AUD33,133, plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee. Fee deferral options and scholarships are available if eligible. Fees displayed are for 2026 and are subject to change in following years.
Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in a wide range of roles including chief technology officer, programmer, network administrator, systems developer, software developer, systems analyst, program administrator, chief financial officer, operations manager, investment banker, financial adviser, market research analyst, and management consultant. Additionally, graduates may become Certified Professionals (CP) with the Australian Computer Society upon completion of the course.
The Master of Information Technology - Master of Business Administration is available at JCU's Cairns and Brisbane campuses, and is also available to Australian students for inter-campus study in Singapore (conditions apply). Intake dates are in January, May, and September at both Cairns and Brisbane campuses.
