The Master of International Business takes 1.5 years (18 months) full-time, or equivalent part-time. However, a fast-track option is available: students with proven relevant working experience and cognate learning can complete the course in 1 year, while those with proven relevant cognate learning can complete it in 1.5 years.
Applicants need a recognised bachelor degree in any discipline plus a minimum of three years equivalent full-time relevant professional experience, OR successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Social Impact, OR completion of the Postgraduate Qualifying Program plus a minimum of three years equivalent full-time relevant professional experience (for international applicants). Applicants must also submit a CV and documents substantiating relevant experience.
International students must satisfy one of the following: an IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0, or Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with an overall 70% and all skills 65% or above, or equivalent measures as listed on Swinburne's English language requirements page.
Yes. Credit transfer is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course, with applicants assessed on a case-by-case basis. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) also allows students to gain credit towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. However, where relevant experience is used as the basis of admission, no further recognition for prior learning/credit can be granted on that basis.
