Common Questions
Yes. Students have the opportunity to undertake a four-month internship in their final semester, allowing them to apply their non-technical skills in an Australian work context. Additionally, students can choose to complete a 20-credit point work placement unit as an elective, which requires a minimum of 100 hours of learning in a work setting. Work placements will be secured through the work-integrated learning team, or as a result of pre-approved networking and contacts developed by the student.
Yes. This course allows eligible applicants to fast track their degree through Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning (CRPL). Depending on the nature of your prior study and experience, you may be able to complete your course in 1.5 years of full-time study (3 years of part-time study) – 180 credit points. Eligible pathways include a Bachelor degree or major in a related discipline, a Bachelor degree in any discipline plus three years relevant work experience, or a Graduate Certificate of Hospitality Management.
Students can choose from the following specialisations: Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Marketing, and Project Management. Alternatively, students may choose 3 x Level 5 or Level 6 units from the School of Business and Law as approved by the Course Coordinator instead of a specialisation.
The estimated first year indicative fee for domestic students is AUD $32,150, and for international students it is AUD $41,250. Students are advised to see the Fees and Scholarships section on the ECU website for further information.
English competency requirements (Band 4) may be satisfied through: an IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0); a Bachelor degree from a country specified on the English Proficiency Bands page; successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at postgraduate level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent); where accepted, equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience; or other tests, courses or programs defined on the English Proficiency Bands page.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
