To be eligible for the Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management - Master of Business Administration, you need an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a business or tourism-related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
The course takes 2 years to complete as a full-time student, or 4 years if studied part-time. This flexible course is available to study either part-time or full-time at JCU's Brisbane campus (for international students).
The estimated annual tuition fee for a full-time study load is AUD $33,133 (2026 fees, subject to change in following years). A Student Services and Amenities Fee is also required. Fee deferral and scholarships may be available if eligible.
The MITHM-MBA is offered at JCU's Cairns and Brisbane campuses. Both campuses have intake periods commencing in January, May, and September each year.
Graduates can find employment in roles such as general managers, sales and marketing directors, human resources managers, event managers, convention services managers, front office directors, directors of catering, and managers of information technology. Career opportunities span hotels, resorts, convention centres, airports, government departments, and private companies in Australia and overseas.
