Master of Laws

The Master of Laws develops deep discipline knowledge and intellectual breadth, and is suited both to students proceeding directly from undergraduate study and to experienced legal practitioners.
The curriculum is designed for flexibility. The program offers no formal specialisation, but you can choose courses across several study areas, including Human Rights Law, International Law, Military Law, AI and the Law, Workplace Law, Space Law, Nuclear Law and Cyber Law.
Across the degree you develop advanced skills in legal writing, reasoning and analysis, and gain expert in-depth knowledge in your chosen areas so you can build an international portfolio.
You engage with legal professionals, former judges and international academics, and the degree is framed around careers spanning climate change and conservation work through to international trade.
The program totals 48 units — 6 units of core courses, up to 18 units of discipline courses and 24 to 42 units of electives — over one year full time at the Adelaide City Campus, with February and July intakes.
