Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Diploma in Law (Law Extension Committee (NSW)) with a minimum credit average; or an LLB or DL with professional experience; or an LLB or DL with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (or equivalent); or a Juris Doctorate; or international equivalents. All applicants must also meet the University's minimum requirements for admission as detailed in the University's Policy: Admission and Credit.
The Master of Laws (Coursework) is offered at two campuses: Fremantle (23 High St, Fremantle, WA 6160) and Sydney (128-140 Broadway, Chippendale, NSW 2008). The program is available via external, on campus, and blended study modes.
Upon successful completion, graduates will be able to synthesise knowledge into written professional documents, apply knowledge of complex legal concepts in diverse national, regional and international legal contexts, undertake self-directed learning and continuing professional development, use ethical and socially responsible decision-making skills, conduct independent legal research, and work responsibly in teams to analyse competing resource claims and recommend agreed shared outcomes.
There are no practicum requirements for this program. You will learn from academics who are leaders in their field.
